An uneventful day. The great thing was that I woke up at 7.30am and bathed. Feels great to be freshened up early in the morning. (: Feels like you have all the time in the world to do what you want. Strange that I actually have more self discipline on such things when I’m away from home. I self-study more consistently. In Singapore, we always pia at the last minute. I’m not like staying up until past 2,3. I wake up early and bathe way before lunch. The only thing is that I can’t control snacking /: The rate at which I snack here is just gonna kill me when I go back to Singapore.
Finally uploaded the back log of pictures on facebook today as well. Haha, most people think I write on my FB notes, which is not completely true… I import them from my blog. haha But I’m actually under-utilising my wordpress /:
one week to my first exam here. /: DAMN GG

zomg had alot of inertia to start studying. partly cos i was so clueless about next week’s tourism exam. No past year paper. That’s a complete gg., freak me out thing. Damn freaking scared.
Had this horrigible acute stomach pain after dinner. I suspect it is cos there was a huge about of gas in my stomach. Had to burp them all out in that super uncomfortable 1 hour.

Explored the other side of the city on my own on Sunday morning while in search of the nearest cheap supermarket (Fakta). Realised it was damn near our place and that area (within 3min walk) had 3 super markets? (Irma & Netto)
Had an asian feast at that area at night as well – Royal Garden. Our Once-in-a-month eat out affair together with Shaun’s bday.?Super awesome. Havent had so much gravy in my food for 6 weeks. The waitress was a Singaporean too!
The food was like zi char standard actually. Dont think it is as nice as resturants. But it was still good (:

I just watched our class video which Wei Xing uploaded on Facebook. Reminded me of all the memories we had in RV. It might feel like reminiscing about our silly secondary school days to most of the 4A peeps. However, to me, it meant so much more. Because I’m so far away from home. Makes me miss my friends back at home. Simple actions can mean a sky difference to different people.
Those days, were such simpler.

Was also viewing pictures of the Canadian cousins trip to Asia. Lily’s pictures from her photo shoot were SOOOOOOOOOOOOO PREEETTTTYYY! Miss them man. Though we spent less than 1 week together, we still try to keep in contact. The relationship is rather magical in the sense that we are not blood related, we are distant relatives; we didn’t grow up together. Yet, we look forward to hosting each other. We totally enjoyed their company when they came over to Singapore. It was phenomenal, more than 40 people dressed in our very own LimSimiTeh blue trademark shirt. In return, they kept inviting us over to Canada, cos they want to host us, bring us around too. It is just so intriguing.
I realised, my roots are still at home. It just doesn’t feel the same, no matter how good life can be elsewhere.

Most of us complain about how rubbish PW is. That it is a bullshit, wayang assessment which HC skews their students’ grades. Honestly, yes, it can be damn staged, but the experience of doing a project with a group is invaluable.
On Friday, I sat through one of the most torturous presentations. It was super not impressive. It was those lousy PW group levels, not even freshman level, but JC level. Business concepts were so shallowly applied, I wonder if I was in one of the best business schools in Europe.
If I had not experienced doing countless group projects since my time in RV, and even some in primary school, I doubt I can handle critical analyses and even group dynamics well. Not denying that they are bullshit, but they were still the necessary evil to make us gain an edge in this aspect.

YESZ! I got my laptop back!!! It must be one of the more fortunate laptop to be flown by SIA through and fro CPG and SG, carried by SIA captains. Was damn amazed at how it is back to me again. ((:
In case you didn’t know, my laptop died on me on my 3rd week in CPH. (Y) It was ultimate, I could not boot it up. (Okay, yes, that’s cos I spilled water onto it /: ) It took another 3 weeks to fly back home, be repaired by HP service centre and fly back!
:D sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy that I got it back (: Many thanks to Uncle Ching, Uncle Johnson and Uncle Yuen for helping me carry my precious lappy around. If I shipped it, probably take half of my father’s salary. And of course my family too (: for sending it for repair, arranging it to be collected and dropped at Uncle Yuen’s.
WEEZ! I’ve got my laptop back. Hi wide screen (: Hi shiny screen! Hi high RAM! ZOMGZX

An amazing new discovery: Cornflakes cereal with yogurt!
I thought it wouldn’t taste too good but man, it was awesome! Thought I would try it out since I noticed my neighbours eat cereals with yogurt.? The yogurt can still soak up the cornflakes and it tastes sweeter than with milk!
Should have taken a picture of that man.
A change of my usual breakfast – sandwich salad. I gave up on making sandwiches (with lettuce, tomatoes, salami and cream cheese) because the quality of white bread here is just horrible. It BREAKS. My sandwich fell apart many a times. I then decided to chop everything up and make it a salad
It’s so much easier to make and easier to clean. Don’t have to worry separating my bread from the vegetables to prevent it from wetting.
No pictures until my laptop comes this weekend, but here is a old picture of sandwich version 1 for breakfast that I had for the first few weeks in CPH (:

Statistics is a notoriously boring subject. As someone who is rather proficient with maths, I have to admit that it really bores me to the core. I skipped most of my stats 103 lectures, didn’t pay attention to my tutorials. My lecturers and tutors were not too interesting.
However today, it was the most entertaining statistics lesson that I’ve attended. The tutor carried is extremely odd accent – strong American accent at the beginning of the sentence and ending off with a strong Danish accent. I was so confused, his nationality was like a complete mystery, haha. Turns out that he is from California but is a Danish now. The style in which he conducted his lesson was super amusing and light-hearted. Once again, it was like a talkshow or entertainment variety show. What I learnt from the lesson was not about stats. (The concepts were really basic. it’s only like 5% of AB103) I got to see how comfortable a person can get speaking to a class of 80-90 people, and how witty he can still be, while passing mandatory information to the audience.

I FINALLY got a pair of boots, after endless nagging from my mum. (Yes, i know she might read this, haha) So happy that I finally bought one pair of decent and not so exp boots. It’s 500 danish kroners, about 140 SGD. Though, it is not the one that I wanted most (that didn’t have my size), it is still quite pretty. Got a can of waterproof spray for the boots as well, in case it rains like freaking horribly here. weeezzz ((:
Was also browsing through catalogs of supermarkets here with my family over skype. Yes, that is damn aunty i know, but it helps save money and is quite a cheap thrill haha. Mummy was teaching me like what to buy and what to cook. She gave me tips about steaming eggs and wala! I managed to steam eggs for dinner!!! haha So exciting! We thought it was impossible to steam eggs cos there was no stand to rest the bowl. I found a flat metal scoop to sit the bowl of eggs, wee! Damn happy, my first steamed eggs n one month.
Man, these posts should go with pictures but sad, my laptop is not back yet. Gonna arrive this weekend. Could spam pictures after that. (:
