I cut my palm while slicing apples on Sunday. (Y) Damn smart of me to face the blade towards my left palm . Cut the area below my index finger? Spammed alot of qing cao you, but it still takes a long time to dry up. GGed
Watch the super beautiful fireworks at Tivoli at night. It was really so so colourful. There was music and the fireworks seemed to be dancing to the music. One of the most spectacular fireworks I’ve seen. You can’t compare it to the Singapore ones, our NDP fireworks are bigger and higher up.

Lol, i found the right way to chop apples. More effortless and does a cleaner job. I believe that technique can be applied to cutting other stuff too

Am lucky that after 3 months of no presentation, only occasional sharings at YV and ACE, I still did a respectable job today. Wees, boots shopping next.
It is odd that some are so self-protective/hostile/retaliative. Not just when answering questions and responding to opinions, but also when raising questions. Damn odd. What happened to all the positivity, peace and understanding that we should have for fellow friends, and people in general? At times like this, I miss volunteering, cos there is no one who will fault me, they only join in the quest for a better tomorrow.

I had my most horrible tasting rice this afternoon. I think the flavoured rice was undercooked with insufficient water. It tasted damn frigging crappy. Only the cooked apples tasted nice. I’m such a horrible cook, zomgsz.
Dinner was the most tiring meal I’ve ever had. I can’t believe I almost had to finish an ordinary guy’s portion of rice. Damn GG.

Did quite a bit of grocery shopping on this Wednesday. It was damn exciting to compare price across super markets, trying to find the cheapest salami, cheapest fruits, cheapest bread. Best deals around. Researching online with their brochures.
Bought raisin puree by mistake, was intending to buy raisins? to go with oat -.- took the wrong one cos it was cheaper.. Damn freaking lame. That’s to found out later that the more pricey supermarket, F?tex, was selling raisins at a lower price…
Anyway, over here, they don’t give out plastic bags at supermarkets, they have to be purchased. So people usually bring their own shopping bags. I think it is really a good idea. The incentive or rather decentive to use our own shopping bags in Singapore is just too little. If I’m not wrong the BYOB day is only on every Wednesday and you only get a 10cent rebate for a minimum of SGD10 spent. Over here, we pay like almost SGD1 for each plastic bag we buy. But of course, if we suddenly implement like charging for each plastic bag you get at NTUC, the whole lot of Singaporeans will just make a great lot of noise.
Here, you can decide how many plastic bag you want to use, not like in Singapore, where the cashiers pack our groceries for us – that’s why people will make noise cos they have no say in the number of bags the cashier uses. In Denmark, you pack your own purchases. Yes, being a cashier here is quite slack in comparison with in Singapore. They just scan, collect money, give you change, can they can to sit down while working. The “gan cheong” people are the customer:
- We have to lay all our our purchases on the roller, out from our baskets/trolley.
- Stack the baskets on our own. No placing of the baskets on the rollers.
- Turn the barcodes up so that it is easier for the cashiers to scan.
- Place the “next customer” sign between your purchases and the next customer’s on the rollers.
- Struggle to get your money out, and they round up 50 cents/?re when you pay by cash cos that’s the smallest denominator of coins here.? Maybe that’s why most people here pay by card. That’s what I’ve decided to do too, not to let them cheat me of all the few ?res.
- Rush to keep your purchases in your bag, cos the groceries of the next customer will come very soon.
In Singapore, we are just so pampered. Think I wouldn’t be used to not packing my own groceries the next time I visit NTUC, lol.

Was having my first Danish class on Tuesday evening, with a good mix of bachelor and masters students. It was so amusing and interesting to observe how different masters students behave. Yes, they are more matured but they are so much more spontaneous, eager to learn (yes, with many questions). They have many witty comments and tend to speak like they are co-running the show. Not saying that it is bad, just amusing to notice the difference in behavior

Had my first HRM class at this super hard to find audi – Carlsberg Auditorium. I was so amused at that beginning of the lecture because it was conducted by 2 lecturers. Yes, TWO. It was so funny, it felt like a talk show! It is more interesting to watch actually, haha not sure how much I can absorb with that mode of teaching. Most lectures will be done my one instructor only. I couldn’t hear like 20% of the lesson cos their jokes were just too fast and difficult to listen -.- can’t catch the accent…
Was talking to a Danish CBS girl, found out that CBS students have been making noise about the style of instruction in school. They only have one 2-3 hour lecture a week for one module, about half of them are in huge groups like 100 people. They don’t get a chance to spar in smaller tutorial or seminar groups like us. Yup, so they were saying that it wouldn’t work, cos in future when they work, they wouldn’t know how to raise views and comments.

I miss performing so much. Occurred to me how much I enjoyed Huang Cheng and RVCO in the past while watching this ballet-play performance at Tivoli on Saturday night. All the insane amount of possiblities theatre creates for you. All the pure love for music and performance that can touch others’ hearts. Good times, and I really miss them. Really beautiful memories weaved during my teenage years. A great stage performance never fails to make me smile at how facinating the stage is.

We meet many new people everyday, from different walks of life, with different behaviors and attitudes. Some are nice and friendly, some are cold and sacarstic. They can be awfully irritating that they get on our nerves and make us turn mean on them. On Friday, I witness this one very fierce and impolite spar between two individuals. It was no direct insult but I thought it was rather ugly. I remember reading from somewhere once, we cannot control how people treat us but we should never use it to determine how we treat them. No matter whether that dude is your teacher or a lousy one, you should still have a littl respect for him. Or at least, be polite.
