Crazy it took me years to seriously appreciate this 早起的鸟儿有虫吃 concept. We all get the theory, just whether we apply it. I’ve always been a morning person but over the years, I simply got lazy and chose to sleep in. Glad over this CNY I’m blessed to hear gain this wisdom from others.

Do scold me when you catch me deviating from this regime. Sylvia needs to get better, this 龙年.

I almost cried upon LKY’s entrance. Don’t know why. Just felt this surge of emotions. Possibly one of his lasts NDPs.

And all the national songs reminded me that Singapore counts on me. I don’t count on Singapore. We have been so demanding of our nation. Thinking that she owes us a living. We don’t have to pay a price for good live. Time to be cooperative and determine where Singapore will be in future.

I always thought it was something super duh. I couldn’t tell the difference between how I speak to different groups.

During class presentations, we simply assume that our tutors and peers have blank memories and have no clue of the context and content. And we get pass it. And it seems like what tutors want us to do.

This assumption is so not going to hold at work. People are not just diverse. they hold such different portfolios. What I say to one may be what another already know. I can’t keep going around aimlessly, with no objective in mind. It is time for greater clarity else I’ll probably die.

Strangely that moment wasn’t extremely memorable. And it felt weird hearing people congratulate each other. A and O level results were far more thrilling. But last Saturday was more of a celebration. To mark probably our last education milestone. To signify something more than adulthood. ??????????

Never thought Asian cultures can differ that much. Personal spatial zone is almost zero – locals don’t find it dangerous that their moving vehicles are 5 cm apart. They push you aside to walk ahead of you. Cute babies get touched/pinched by passers-by.  Time is like priceless – am totally puzzled over how they can live with such inefficiencies: so much time is wasted at double checking bills and payment, when simple modifications to the operations can solve all these issues. I feel bad for them ‘cos there’s a whole lot of resources being wasted there. Then again, perhaps cultural difference is something that we just have to accept.

My purpose of flying there was to visit Ting Ting jie jie and her baby though. Ryan is sooooooooooooo adorable (: the last 5 days was a great learning experience for me. The “Ting Ting tips and tricks to bargaining”; the power of mankind – viets are truly admirable for living in the tiny tunnels during war; how parenthood can change you life; how much more i need to change to be better as a child /sis /person.

Hoping that it makes my life more productive. Next on the list, iPad 2.
