Went on board the Harbour Queen yesterday evening for a job from Marina at Keppel Bay.
What’s interesting about this foreign company is that the President is actively involving his staff in donation drives and giving back to the society. At yesterday’s event, for every dollar that an employee pledges, the company would match a dollar. Just imagine if the total amount pledged is a million dollars, they would have raised 2 million for a good cause!
To garner more support from the staff, they had 3 key staff to each perform an item at the centre stage. BUT what moved me was the President who was injured and moved around using crutches had actually made the effort to prepare his costume and sang Wonderwall by Oasis! Imagine having to stand there for like 5mins without the crutches, singing his hearts out only with the belief that by doing so, their adopted charity would benefit more.
Guess this is something that we really have to learn from the President.
